Synthetic hair, Wood & 3 metres braids.
Two flags joined together through braided hair, forming a continuous connection between them as a representation of my own reconnection with Basque culture. The braid, a fundamental and recurring element throughout my practice, plays a central role in this work due to its strong association with my childhood memories.
The piece also opens the possibility of a future performance in which two figures, appearing as twins, embody an image of connection, harmony, and shared identity. Through their linked presence, the work would further explore themes of belonging, continuity, and cultural inheritance.
